How do you become a merit badge counselor?
1. Complete Youth Protection Training and print your certificate. Include this with your application.
2. Complete a(nother) BSA Adult Application, either using the fillable PDF or the paper registration form. The position code for this role is "42" - Merit Badge Counselor. This application is required even if you are already registered in another role.
3. Complete a Merit Badge Counselor info form, and include this with your application.
4. Submit the application, your Youth Protection Training certificate, and your Merit Badge Counselor information form to the advancement coordinator (Andy Goshorn). They will get it into council.
